How can polymeric materials meet the challenges of an evolving world?

The Evans Research Group (ERG) believes that next-generation polymeric materials can address many critical technological shortcomings. We create new types of defined polymer structure by combining synthetic organic chemistry, supramolecular interactions, and advanced processing methods. Through this multipronged approach, we control nano-to-microscale polymer structure concurrently. Then, we invent technologies that take advantage of this higher order polymer structure. Our polymer technologies aim to address critical global challenges in energy, environmental, and electronic applications.
