Rupam originally hails from India. He received his master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Subsequently, he chose his scientific carrier as a doctoral research fellow in Dr. Apurba Lal Koner’s group at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal where his research interest revolved around developing organic pi-conjugated materials, their in-depth characterizations, exploration of self-assembly process and their applications in sensing and optoelectronics. In May 2023, Rupam joined the Evans research group as a Postdoctoral research fellow. He is enthusiastic to develop organic functional materials including thermally conductive polymers.
